DUREIC: Pioneering Innovation in Mission Critical Systems

CoreEL Technologies was recognized for its groundbreaking design , the Dual Redundant Ethernet Interface Card (DUREIC), developed under the category of "Import Substitution for Mission Critical Systems." DUREIC stands as a paradigm of excellence in solving the vexing problem of single point failure in Ethernet communication systems used across various aerospace and defense systems. The technology's distinct advantage lies in its ability to future-proof existing platforms, thereby significantly extending their shelf life.

This key design of CoreEL showcases its relentless commitment to Indigenous Innovation and excellence its unwavering support to “Atmanirbharta”, drastically reducing dependencies on foreign sub-systems and thereby enhancing India's technical expertise in the critical networking domain of cyber & net-centric warfare greatly benefitting the Indian armed forces.

DUREIC leverages the Parallel Redundancy Protocol (PRP) as defined in the IEC 62439-3 Standard, operating at the Ethernet Layer within the network stack. This ingenious design ensures that redundancy remains invisible to the application layer and network elements like switches. The project, realized in a record time of approximately 12 months, encompassed all phases from ideation to conceptualization, architecting the algorithm in RTL, and designing and developing the hardware platform. The end product boasts robust embedded software catering to health and statistics, all while ensuring minimal impact on data traffic throughput. Additionally, it incorporates a comprehensive web server for status and health reporting, an exhaustive test suite for Verification & Validation, and modeling of the network nodes. The implementation in hardware is pivotal in eliminating dependencies on software stacks, thereby enhancing security by removing vulnerabilities.

A Vision of Excellence

Commenting on this remarkable achievement, Mr. Vishwanath Padur, Managing Director and CEO of CoreEL Technologies, stated, "CoreEL Technologies was born from a vision of excellence, and for the past twenty-four years, we've relentlessly pursued that vision.
