Indian Army Releases Acceptance of Necessity (AoN) for procurement of High Mobility Vehicle (HMV) 6x6 Gun Towing Vehicle (GTV)

The Indian Army Releases Acceptance of Necessity (AoN) for procurement of High Mobility Vehicle (HMV) 6x6 Gun Towing Vehicle (GTV) to be procured under Buy (lndian-lDDM) under provisions of Chapter II of OAP 2020.

The broad characteristics in respect of HMV 6x6 GTV for Med Guns and Radars are as under:-

(a) AoN Effective Date: 09 Oct 2023

(b) Categorisation: Buy (lndian-lDDM).

(c) Trials: Field Evaluation Trials (FET) as per Para 65-77 of Chapter-II of DAP 2020.

(d) Important Parameters:

(i) GTV, 6x6 be able to tow a Gun or Radar of 20 Tons.

(ii) GTV, 6x6 to have a cabin for the crew of 6 men.

(ii) GTV, 6x6 to have 2 ton MHC for amn handling.

(iv) A power drive winch to self-recover the GTV through soft patches of sand or slush.
